In depth

Verdict

Halpha Soleil won two bumpers in the French provinces and will improve from his debut for Micky Hammond at Wetherby. Forcing Bull won an Irish point-to-point in October but pulled much too hard on his bumper debut for Donald McCain at Haydock. Percy Willis, a three-times winner on the all-weather, didn't run badly on his second start over timber at Doncaster last month though will need major improvement to trouble CHASE A FORTUNE, placed in his first three starts over timber before making all for a very convincing success at Catterick.
