This is a low grade handicap and TOKYO JAVILEX is taken to make the long journey from Devon pay off. Nigel Hawke's charge was gaining his first ever victory over hurdles when scoring over an extended 3m1f at Fontwell and though he's been raised 7lb he's still on a lower mark than over fences where he's won twice. Maybe I Wont, a prolific winner on the Flat, has won just once in 29 starts over hurdles and that was on this track almost two years ago. Winning point-to-pointer Mullinavat hasn't shown much under Rules but Apache Pilot was running well over fences when last seen in the spring and can revert to hurdles on a fair mark. The lightly-raced Clenagh Castle hasn't been seen since runner-up at Newcastle in December and makes his handicap debut.
