The ground will make plenty of impact on how they bet and PEN GWEN is our tentative pick ahead of Justwhateverulike and Whatcanyasay. Blinkers appeared to spark Kate Walton's charge into life and having set a furious gallop at Exeter, he managed to burn off all but one of the challengers. If the trick works twice, he can account for a modest field on this occasion. Justwhateverulike has been busy over the summer. He has raced on a similar surface before so is worthy of respect. Whatcanyasay is a previous winner at Sedgefield though his latest run at Carlisle was poor. Schinken Otto is a likeable enough type though he seems not to be at his best with plenty of give in the ground. Russian Flag looks ungenuine and is not one to be on at short prices. Daraybad is another for whom good plans did not work out as intended. Blast The Past has first time cheekpieces and would have to be factored into this if he can handle the likely going. A real headscratcher for the punters and Pen Gwen receives our recommendation.
