A seven pound penalty might not be enough to stop Devil's Run who is chosen to beat Supreme Breeze and Alfy Rich . John Wade's gelding seemed to relish this sticky ground at Wetherby last time, maintaining a relentless gallop, he came away in the straight to beat King's Bounty by 26 lengths. He does have 12st 2lbs to shoulder today but looks up to the task. Supreme Breeze may provide most danger. Sue Smith's ten-year-old disappointed at Worcester last time, but previous efforts included an easy victory at Hexham and if electing to put his best foot forward today he must have strong claims. Alfy Rich will relish this ground as he did at Hexham last time when third to Miss Royello, he still looks on a fair mark and must be involved in the finish. Potoffairies is a rare Sedgefield runner for Henrietta Knight so watch for any market move, but Devil's Run is hard to oppose in this mood and he gets our vote.
