Stopped Out may be vulnerable under his penalty and so it might be worth taking a chance on the former point-to-pointer KARROT KAKE. Ollie Pears is more known for his excellent exploits at a lowly level on the Flat however this daughter of Kayf Tara looks an interesting addition to the yard. She has a good old-fashioned chaser's pedigree so may be seen to better effect in time over the bigger obtacles however this doesn't look the hottest of races and she might prove good enough to score. Stopped Out had to work hard to secure victory at Huntingdon and although his proven winning form is in his favour he is reluctantly opposed under a 7lb penalty. Stand Clear represents a yard that are now starting to warm up and she needs watching in the betting off her light weight, whilst Cosmetic and Arty Farmer are two interesting newcomers to hurdling for trainer Howard Johnson. Boyoboy made his debut earlier this year in one of the top bumper races at Doncaster and had evidently been showing something at home. He is likely to improve for a stiffer test of stamina in time, however any market support on debut would look interesting. Cocoa Key is an obvious player if repeating his recent third to Alvarado at Carlisle, whilst Jumby Bay's bumper run at Worcester doesn't read too badly either. At a price Qollioure could run well after a recent pipe-opener at Newcastle, however we are sweet on Karrot Kake.
