In depth

Verdict

SHOUGHALL’S BOY (NAP) ended last year with a double at Hexham and is 5lb higher on his return. But he beat a subsequent winner on that occasion and the hat-trick beckons in this lower grade. Demi Sang won over a shorter trip at Wetherby before finishing runner-up off today’s mark here and is due to be raised 2lb while Lifeisahighway went close at Southwell when last over hurdles. Hajey has gone up 7lb for last month’s course and distance success but the runner-up has since boosted the form and he can figure again.
