Verdict

Erne River would have every chance if taking part but was due to run at Doncaster yesterday. The bumper winner DARGIANNINI is looking to put a disappointing hurdling debut behind him on his reappearance having failed to land the odds at Aintree in December but Harry Whittington’s yard is in much better form now so he gets another chance. Malpas looked likely to make a winning start over timber at Catterick when falling at the last. He could only manage third dropped down to 2m last time but better is expected back over today’s trip while You Some Boy ran well in a bumper before struggling in heavy going here last time and should finish closer.
