Verdict

Bandanaman was only beaten half-a-length by Balamory Dan over a slightly shorter trip here on his return. He could reverse placings with the winner and should again finish ahead of the disappointing Words Of Warning, though a 3lb weight rise seems harsh. Overrule is lightly-raced over timber and would have to be considered on his Flat form, while the once-useful Flat performer Rangefinder could do better now going handicapping. Overbranch was in good form when last seen but JEU DE ROSEAU is fancied to come out on top today. Chris Grant's gelding did well over timber as a novice last year and has carried that improvement on to the level this term, winning a handicap at Newcastle in July. He may be capable of holding his own at a higher level in time.
