In depth

Verdict

Stamina won’t be a problem for last month’s Exeter winner Lake Shore Drive and Brian Hughes has been booked to ride Richard Hawker’s Somerset raider. Cresswell Queen has been much improved since tackling this much longer trip here lately and she may have more to offer but Milton Harris’ stable has continued to fire in the winners after last season’s exploits and a recent third at Newton Abbot is sure to have brought forward PRESENTING YEATS (NAP), who is a thorough stayer. Howzat Hiris is the pick of Micky Hammond’s pair and best of the rest along with Bird On The Wire.
