This is a competitive handicap in which Tipsy Mouse is taken to get the better of Cassia Heights and Caribbean Cove. The selection has been very disappointing of late but, as a consequence, he has dropped to a handy mark. He stays this far and further and with plenty of dubious stayers in the field he looks the sporting choice. Cassia Heights rates the main danger on his latest second behind Lords Best, but that came with much more cut on the ground and on that basis we are happy to take him on. Caribbean Cove is game and consistent and although he was beaten a long way by the Scottish National winner Joes Edge last time, that form looks solid in the context of this race. If he sees out this longer trip then he should go close. Lord Capitaine has to get a mention as he has a love affair with this track, but his latest efforts leave him with a little to find and for the winner we return to Tipsy Mouse.
