Verdict

Slipper Satin and Question Of Faith are both fit from the Flat but the latter has been in the better form and goes on the short-list here. Secret Escape won at Cartmel in July and a case can be made for Ayla's Emperor on the pick of her form, though she’s been out of sorts for a while. CHAMPAGNE TO GO is still a maiden but went close at Kelso in the spring and has continued to run well at some of the minor northern tracks. It would be no surprise to see Rebecca Menzies’ mare open her account in a race like this.
