In depth

Verdict

Harry Whittington’s runners have a terrific strike-rate on this course and Speedy Cargo is sure to improve on his fourth in a bumper at Fontwell, his first run under Rules. Sheriff Garrett has not finished out of the frame since making his debut over hurdles and should be thereabouts again. Ask Paddington is gradually improving but Farocco disappointed twice at Hexham last month and looks held by a couple of these on the form book. COLBY runs in the famous Trevor Hemmings colours and there was a lot to like about his third over 2m4f here in April. On that evidence, he’ll appreciate today’s extra yardage.
