A wide open bumper rounds off the card but as usual in these types of events the market will be all important but the principals look to be New Lodge,Rightway Star and Dundiclou and the narrow vote is given to New Lodge. The selection has been running well in this sphere without winning but a reproduction of his latest third behind Supreme Builder sets a fair standard and under similar conditions here he is given one last chance to get his head in front. Rightway Star rates the main danger on his debut second behind Bertie May he looks sure to improve and should be watched in the market. Dundiclou ran with promise on his debut and looks sure for the step up in trip so he could go well at a price. Of the remainder Gillie Brown is a well bred sort from a shrewd yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we return to New Lodge.
