Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A handicap lacking quality and among the more fancied runners are Tiger Talk, Leadaway and Heversham and we take a chance with the last named. James Hetherton's recent runners have been backed at the racecourse and while Heversham has yet to trouble the judge under National Hunt rules, he produced an encouraging fifth over 17 furlongs at the course and should have come on for the run. Tiger Talk is fully exposed but loves fast ground. Campaigned largely at selling grade - this is hardly a massive gulf in class. Leadaway is lightly raced and he was well backed ahead of his seasonal reappearance at Catterick. There are races to be won but from a betting angle, the cat is out of the bag. Lago ran a stormer after a two-year gap to finish second in selling class - he might find this surface a little quick. A poor race in which Heversham is open to some improvement and nominated accordingly.
