Verdict

Ralph Beckett's juveniles have been providing a good profit this year, and we'll take a chance with ROCKY REBEL ahead of Borug and Star Of Dance. Only two of the nine scheduled starters have raced before, but neither Aciano or Mr Perceptive impressed on debut. The market must be watched to see what's being supported and what's being swerved. In the absence of that at this stage though, we'll take a chance with Rocky Rebel. He could be absolutely anything, but given the yard's form this season, he commands respect. The same can be said for Godolphin's Borug, who cost more than half a million dollars last year. Frankie Dettori's popping in on his way home from Goodwood (as are a number of the jockeys), but he's doing it for this one scheduled ride. In time this one may want further given his breeding, but he's likely to be supported here. Another expensive debutant is Star Of Dance. Sir Michael Stoute's colt has some fancy entries for the autumn, and he's likely to come in for some support as well. We'll go against them both though, and side with Rocky Rebel.
