Verdict

Star Player did well last season but switched stables only 10 days ago. Island Star was a fair third at Goodwood after winning at Kempton and The Parent won at the former track in the autumn. Prince of Zenda came up against a well-treated rival at Ascot but Dutch Kingdom is having a first run on Turf while Greek Order and Umberto are proving expensive to follow. ASHMORE took a big step forward when only headed close home by Totnes at Lingfield. The winner placed off a 5lb higher mark at Newmarket subsequently so the form looks decent.
