      Verdict

      Snow Squall arrives in the best form having won at Hamilton and steps up in trip under a penalty for this. Devilment has posted only modest efforts at Newmarket either side of winning at Kempton while Fun Mac, Purple Spectrum and Belfilo have lost their way a little since scoring earlier in the season. Samtu remains without a win so that leaves NORSE STAR. He scored over today's trip at Nottingham in May and finished well ahead of Snow Squall when fourth at Salisbury last month. Sylvester Kirk's charge looks capable of winning again off his current mark and gets the vote.
