Verdict

Secateur was an impressive winner when making all at Newmarket last month but is upped in class off a 12lb higher mark for this. Andrew Balding has trained three of the last seven winners and runs MUNSTEAD PRIDE. The latter will need to step up on his latest fourth over track and trip but can race off the same mark and has the scope to do so. Star Rider was not disgraced in the Queen's Vase over 2m at Ascot and drops back down in class while Barefoot Dancer now goes handicapping after a third at Leicester. Process will need to dig deeper off his current mark and Who Dares Wins takes a big step up in class.
