In the finale, we will side with Chocolate Caramel, but the likes of Quizzene, Haatmey, Forgery, Im Spartacus, Blue Torpedo and Come On Jonny are rated as decent opponents. The selection could be well handicapped on Turf because the horse that he beat in his maiden on Lingfield's Polytrack was The Geezer, who has won twice since. As such, he gets the call although this will be his Turf debut. Quizzene, who is set to go up by two pounds following his second to Saadigg over 12 furlongs at Beverley last time, rates a good opponent, with that last comment also applying to Haatmey, who should come on for his reappearance run, Forgery, who cost 130,000 guineas and should be capable of plenty of improvement from his Wolverhampton win, and Im Spartacus, who has been running well in Dubai of late. Blue Torpedo, who was a good second to Kandidate at Lingfield last time and who could improve stepped up in trip today, is another to consider, along with Come On Jonny, who was a good winner from Duroob at Doncaster last month, and has to be seriously considered, despite being three pounds worse off with Duroob for a length. Finally, Bertrose is one that should also improve for today's longer trip but, for the selection, we will stick with Chocolate Caramel.
