In the Spring Mile, we favour Crosspeace over Diamonds And Dust, Notability and Oligarch, although do not rule out good runs from Enforcer, The Composer and Notability. The selection comes into this race on the back of a good second at Newbury last time. Given that he is racing from, effectively, a mark that is four-pounds well-in in relation to future ratings, his chance is there for all to see and he looks set to go well. Oligarch is also set to rise, in his case by three pounds, and there was a lot to like about his second to River Royale at Newmarket last week. As long as he does not bounce, he must surely go well. Enforcer is another to be four-pounds officially well-in but, working on form using Cool Panic, Oligarch would seem to have the edge over him. Of the others, Diamonds And Dust should be sharper for his latest run, which was on the all-weather and, along with The Composer and Notability, who could both be starting the campaign on reasonable marks, can go well. However, for the selection, we will stick with Crosspeace.
