      Verdict

      Fast Pace just failed to overhaul the useful Nearly Caught at Kempton last time and should make another bold bid, despite a 5lb weight rise. Penny Rose probably needs further help from the handicapper while Powder Hound hasn't raced since finishing second at Kempton in May but Topamichi only found one too good over track and trip on Friday and clearly handles soft ground. LADY PIMPERNEL probably deserves a change of luck as her latest Salisbury second has worked out well. She scored on good to soft as a two-year-old so the going shouldn't be a problem and her proven stamina will be an asset on the run for home. Emerging disappointed last time and will find this a tough task but Lyric Ballad was in good form earlier this summer and can't be ignored.
