CELESTIAL BAY was carrying overweight when beaten less than a length by Maglietta Fina at Bath on Saturday. She effectively races off a 3lb lower mark here and, with Richard Hughes booked, must have every chance against more exposed rivals. Desert Command was only beaten a short-head over 6f at Epsom last month but, like the consistent Macdillon, doesn't look well drawn. Storm Lightning had Solemn back in fourth when scoring at Wolverhampton but the latter is 7lb better off here and there may not be much to choose between the pair this time. The Strig won at Brighton on Monday but now has a penalty to carry and this is much more competitive.
