Most of these arrive in good form, especially April Ciel, who has been ideally suited to front-running when completing a double at Bath and Warwick. Whether she can keep up the gallop over this longer trip and stiffer track is another matter and three of her rivals have already won over the distance. BATHWICK STREET is one of them and gets the vote as he won easily on ground with give at Nottingham before a fine run on quicker ground over slightly shorter in a tough Newmarket handicap won by Mubazara. Somemothersdohavem finished tailed off in that race so may be best watched for now though he did beat subsequent winner Byron Blue at Yarmouth earlier. The latter may have been unlucky that day and put matters right with a very impressive victory at Haydock so he's one to keep an eye on. It's hard to know what to make of Cellist, who won a very poor maiden at Wolverhampton by no less than 19l. He started odds-on for that so is obviously well regarded but faces a much tougher task here. Dovils Date battled on to land a minor handicap at Newmarket and had earlier beaten the selection at Salisbury though the ground was very fast that day.
