Barbary Boy has the best chance at these weights and is taken to land this claimer, with Our Acquaintance next best. A mark of 74 is not a bad one from which to come into this company if you have designs on winning, and connections clearly have that with Barbary Boy, who handles soft ground well, has a good draw, and should appreciate this testing version of the minimum trip. With that plus a clear advantage at the weights we make him a confident choice. Our Acquaintance is also pretty well in here on official ratings and handles cut in the ground very well, as evidenced by a Windsor win over this trip last month. A clear second best as the race is set up, plus a low draw, means we will oppose today. Night Prospector has not won on ground worse than good to soft and is finding success difficult on and around his current mark, and stablemate Back In The Red, who does enjoy getting his toe in and is better off here looks the more likely of Ron Harris's pair. Meridian Line handles conditions and looks capable of taking home some prize money, but Barbary Boy is the one to be on.
