In depth

Verdict

Southwell winner BATTERY POWER finished a decent second at Newmarket when stepped up to 1m4f last time. The third-placed horse has subsequently won and this longer trip should bring further progress with Kieren Fallon taking over the reins. Sea The Flames also showed improvement for extra distance on his comeback at Bath, while Dr Darcey has been threatening to lose his maiden tag of late and can make the frame. Golden City and May Contain Nuts have plenty of scope, but Szabo's Destiny could prove a bigger threat having landed a double earlier this year.
