In depth

Verdict

Most of these are jumpers. Leoncavallo, six-times a winner over hurdles, has joined David Pipe and looks on a very handy mark on his return to the Flat. Red Royalist completed a double over timber around this time last year and only had two subsequent runs while Roar won a jumper's bumper at Wolverhampton in February. Seaborn won five of his eight starts last summer and moved up 30lb in the ratings as a consequence. He scored over this trip at Wolverhampton and should get into contention for his new trainer. Mick Easterby has just one runner at the meeting, QAWAMEES (NAP), who can take this. A winner over 1m4f at Pontefract last summer, he's only 1lb higher and made an eye-catching reappearance at Newcastle earlier this month.
