It may well be the case that this maiden will not take much winning despite the fact that those with racecourse experience should benefit for their initial outings on the track. With that in mind we will side with KHAN TENGRI to land it for the Marcus Tregoning yard. Never involved first time out when slowly away, he was stepped up to one mile and encountered soft ground last time when posting a much improved effort, looking tapped for toe at one point but staying on again in the closing stages. King Of Wands contested what arguably was one of the hottest maidens run this season on Newmarket's July course, finishing a never nearer eight of seventeen but leaving the impression that more is to come. Market support for Montaff would make him of some interest. Gtaab contested what looked a hot maiden over course and distance last time. He was never put into the race but stayed on in behind as they climbed the hill at this venue. Khan Tengri is the selection to land this maiden.
