Verdict

Oasis Star has done little wrong so far and gets the vote to resume winning ways at the main expense of Richard Hannon's pair King of Cashel and Mister Saif. The selection lost no caste in defeat when a close fifth behind the progressive Gatwick in Haydock's Silver Bowl last time. That was the first time that the Peter Harris-trained filly had been beaten and, back in lesser grade, she looks worth backing. King Of Cashel appeals most of Richard Hannon's two runners. He makes his seasonal reappearance today but ended last season in good form and, if fit enough, should be good enough for a place at least. Stablemate Mister Saif is becoming expensive to follow and a bigger threat may come from Hatch, who has been in good form and has the assistance of Johnny Murtagh. However, the concession of 7lbs to the selection may prove to be beyond him. Nephetriti Way has given little sign of encouragement so far this term and is difficult to recommend in a race that is taken to go to Oasis Star.
