Indebted has shown improvement in each start on the all-weather and may be worth chancing on his handicap debut, and on his first outing on turf, in a race where the main dangers look to be Golden Applause and Pinpoint. The last mentioned, like the selection, makes his debut in a handicap today on the back of a comfortable success in a maiden last time but the handicapper seems to have taken few chances with Walter Swinburn's gelding. Top weight All Ivory looked none too straightforward at Thirsk last time and may be best watched at present, while Pontefract winner Holiday Camp struggled off his new mark at Salisbury last time and may now be a shade high in the weights. Pearl King has gone up 3lbs despite being beaten at Pontefract on his most recent start and of more interest may be Very Wise, who may appreciate the return to this trip. Golden Applause won her maiden at Salisbury in decent fashion but this looks tougher and preference is for Indebted, who was good value for his three-length defeat of the 78-rated Ronsard at Wolverhampton when last seen in March and looks well treated for his handicap debut off a mark of just 77. Provided that he is fit enough, Indebted may well be good enough.
