Eversden showed promise first time out but has been done very few favours with an outside draw in stall one and preference is for Ceredig, who gets the vote ahead of Be My Charm. The last mentioned has run consistently well in all four starts so far and, along with Balian, is entitled to be thereabouts. Nick Littmoden's Jimmy The Guesser showed improved form on his most recent start on the Polytrack at Lingfield last time but there is no guarantee that he will reproduce the form back on turf and of more interest may be James Toller's Woodnook, who has the pick of the draw and the assistance of the in-form Eddie Ahern in the plate. Trophy Pride and My have both disappointed so far and may be capable of better but the vote goes to Ceredig, who caught the eye on his Haydock debut on a softer surface last week and with a faster surface to suit, he looks the one to beat.
