Too Darn Hot won this last year and John Gosden has generally targeted the race over the last 10 years, saddling the winner on four occasions. HERMAN HESSE (NAP) completely missed the break on debut at Yarmouth but made eye-catching late headway without being put under maximum pressure. This stiff mile should be right up his street and he can open his account. Godolphin had three runners in that Yarmouth contest, including winner Boccaccio, and they have two in this. Dubai Mirage is a brother to a 1m2f winner and wears the first colours but William Buick is on promising Newbury second Native Tribe. Jean Baptiste is a half-brother to five winners and there is also plenty of stamina in the pedigree of Tiger Zone.
