Verdict

Alph ran much better at Plumpton last time and has claims but is likely to have to settle for minor honours at best in a race taken to go to Jonjo O'Neill's CRUCHAIN, who can follow up his recent Huntingdon success and give his handler another win. Gary Moore's Sircozy is less exposed than most of these but needs to improve and of more interest may be the Philip Hobbs-trained Exulto, who has found one too good in each of his last two starts and should be thereabouts again but he may prefer a faster surface. Alan King's Top Mark is fit from running on the flat and could be of interest back over hurdles having run over fences on his most recent start under National Hunt rules.
