Verdict

The switch back to Turf proved no problem for Albonny at Nottingham and he duly completed his hat-trick. Front-runner Australia Day will ensure his stamina is brought into play again here and Michael Murphy is good value for his 7lb claim but the four-year-old lacks the scope of the younger AULD ALLIANCE. Sir Michael Stoute's filly looks well treated in this on her second to Ribblesdale Stakes heroine Riposte at Newmarket and she's won since at Chepstow. Most of the others are capable of playing a part if on-song with Saborido certain to improve for his third over course and distance last month when just ahead of Abundantly. Dunhoy is still creeping up the weights but should also run his race again.
