Verdict

Lush Life was a game winner over 3m at Cheltenham last time and Nicky Henderson has put up David Bass to negate the subsequent weight rise. But the six-year-old finished a little way adrift of MISTER HYDE on his reappearance and, though fitter now, looks to have something to find to reverse that form with Jonjo O'Neill's progressive novice who won easily at Plumpton next time. Paul Nicholls' runners have an excellent recent record in this race but Taunton winner Prince Tom has a lot more on his plate today, while Supreme De Paille may struggle to follow up his Uttoxeter success. Like A Hurricane hasn't run since October but Altilhar has dropped to a decent mark along with William Hogarth, who was a lot more like his old self at Wincanton last month and boasts big-race form around here. The consistent Alfie Spinner and in-form Kilcrea Kim are probably best of the rest in a tough puzzle to unravel.
