      Verdict

      Epsom winner Marlay Park is preferred to Ascot third Global Esteem of the older horses but they are taken on by a trio of three-year-olds. Tactics may play a part and Last Hoorah is ridden by an inexperienced 7lb claimer but William Buick gets the leg up on Devasboy, who was under par at Leicester three weeks ago. MAJESTIC FIGHTER appears to have the beating of the latter on collateral form, however, so gets the nod.
