Verdict

Having come off second-best against smart novices Thyme Hill and Edwardstone at Chepstow and Wincanton respectively, FIDDLERONTHEROOF never gave supporters an anxious moment when making all here last time. He can give his trainer a third win in four years in this Grade 1. Hang In There ended the unbeaten record of Pacify in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham and looks a worthy opponent but Plumpton winner Calva D’Auge was put in his place in a Listed race at Haydock and Logan Rocks will likely struggle. Silver Hallmark’s Chepstow win hasn’t worked out and Jeremys Flame has had her limitations exposed but Son Of Camas looked a nice prospect at Newbury when outpointing Wednesday’s Exeter winner King Roland.
