In a competitive sprint handicap, we will shortlist Fromsong, Ok Pal and Rydal, and side with Ok Pal. The plus points for the selection are that he is a course and distance winner, is well-drawn and comes into this race on the back of a good run over course and distance last time. The case rests. Fromsong comes into this race in good heart and, set to rise by five pounds in the ratings after today, is very much respected. Rydal is also a course and distance winner who won from a two-pound higher mark than today last August. Much as he has been out of sorts lately, a return to form is not a forlorn possibility. Turning to the others and it is interesting that Whistler runs as he is due to be dropped three pounds in the ratings, but the question is - along with Out After Dark, who is also set to rise in the weights, and Texas Gold - will a low draw prove disadvantageous? Malapropism remains on a winning mark, but has been beaten from it recently, while Green Manalishi remains well-weighted if recapturing his best. As we say, it's competitive, but we are hopeful of a good run from the selection, which is Ok Pal.
