Verdict

ZAIN SHAMARDAL is given the nod after a promising start over this course and distance. Brian Meehan's Shamardal colt should have learnt plenty from his first run and although it was a small field the form looks like it is solid (second rated 84). Carlton House is from a successful family and is respected if the money comes, although the juveniles from this yard normally come on plenty for the run. Albert Bridge and Diamond Bob join Pivotman on the list of interesting newcomers. Andrew Balding has a very good record with his maidens at the track and Whiplash Willie is not ruled out, despite the fact that his siblings Isabelonabicycle and Elvira Madigan are both big girls who improved with racing. Danceyourselfdizzy has run in two good races and the longer trip should suit, while Lejaam is capable of better and needs to improve before he goes handicapping.
