KILLCARA BOY is given the tentative vote to land this handicap ahead of Cosmea and Victoria Montoya. Up 2lb for a recent Doncaster victory, the selection doesn¿t do a whole lot when he hits the front and as a result the handicapper is not provided with an opportunity to over react to his victories. Cosmea has taken a fair hike in the ratings as a result of back-to-back victories earlier this summer. Given the form of Alan King¿s flat string you could not right her off, although she was comfortably held last time. Victoria Montoya is 5lb higher for her last victory and stamina does appear to be her strong point. The Cesarewitch is her ultimate target and victory here will edge her further up the weights but whether a sufficient test of stamina will materialise is questionable. Spider Silk steps up in trip to twelve furlongs which should suit while the return to a quicker surface will also be in his favour. The easy surface just appeared to blunt his finishing kick last time after he travelled strongly. Trianon is 5lb better off for a 3 1/2 length beating by Killcara Boy last time. First time blinkers are now applied to Roger Charlton's s charge but Killcara Boy can confirm the form with him and land this handicap.
