Division two of the auction maiden and similar to the first division, those with racecourse form set a high standard for the newcomers. There would not be a more deserving winner than Forward Feline and she is selected to land it on her sixth racecourse appearance. While she is beginning to look exposed, she has continued to post solid efforts in decent maidens, none more so than last time, where she was on the pace for most of the journey and battled gamely to find only the well-backed and highly regarded Glen Molly too good. That performance came on the back of an unfavourable draw and while the niggling doubt is her ability to act on a quicker surface, her high draw means her jockey should be capable for adopting her customary front running role. Clive Cox's yard are not renowned for producing precocious juveniles and Perfect Pride showed she had benefited considerably for her initial racecourse appearance when finishing second in a Newbury maiden last time. The stiff climb here should also suit Perfect Pride. Sunny Future showed good early speed last time over the course and ultimately did not see out the seven furlongs as well as his rivals. He is evidently an excitable type as he happened to get quite worked up before that outing and the drop back to six furlongs should suit. Poyle Meg received a rather eye-brow raising ride at Sandown last time, his rider opting to switch to the centre of the sprint course to launch his challenge, on ground that is usually softer than that closer to the rail. Breeding suggests she will be more effective over further. The stiffer six furlongs on offer to Rumble Of Thunder will suit him better to the six furlongs he last encountered at Windsor but the form of that maiden is suspect; the second from that Windsor maiden contests division one of this maiden. Market support for the once race Floor Show should be noted, the yard holding a 26% record with their juveniles, the majority of those courtesy of John Fretwell owned juveniles. King Ace indicated some promise last time in a Newbury maiden, however on a line through Glen Molly faces a stiff task with FORWARD FELINE who gets the nomination.
