Verdict

Step To The Shears beat a subsequent winner at Goodwood but Richard Hughes still prefers stablemate AMONG ANGELS. The latter was outclassed in the Windsor Castle at Ascot last time but had won easily at Windsor before that and can return to winning ways. Room Key made a winning start over track and trip and is preferred to Brown Velvet, a winner at Bath last month, while Percy Alleline scored over 5f here before coming up short when favourite for a novices contest at Windsor.
