If Cape Royal is able to blast out here like he did at Ripon last time then he would have every chance from a 4lbs higher mark, while Brandywell Boy has to enter calculations, but we will side with MISARO in his bid to complete a hat-trick in this race. While it is of slight concern that trainer Ron Harris is a little bit quiet at present, he can have Misaro spot on for today's contest. Clearly, trip and ground suit the nine-year-old, who has slipped to a mark below both those previous success in this race after a couple of less-than-encouraging runs. That does not mean that he can't win today. Bath scorer Brandywell Boy has conditions to his liking and is sure to be competitive from just 3lbs higher, while Efistorm is better than he showed last time and is also on a decent mark, though the ground might be quicker than ideal. Old boy The Tatling would be a popular scorer but Misaro is the pick.
