OUR DRAMA QUEEN is chanced in what isn't the strongest of handicaps; fellow maiden Rain On The Wind can beat White Dart to the forecast spot. Richard Hannon's filly makes her handicap debut here so a degree of guesswork is required, but we're hopeful she can prove up to winning off this mark. Last time out she caught the eye staying on under hands and heels off a slow pace at Salisbury and looked one to keep an eye on, so with the yard having found what looks a weak race she's worth chancing. Rain On The Wind remains a maiden but seems to have improved for stepping up in trip of late. His fourth behind Kajima at Epsom is strong form for the grade and he backed it up with a solid Newmarket third last time, so is very much of interest here particularly if William Carson is allowed to dictate the pace. Lack of an end-to-end gallop could be White Dart's undoing but he ran well when just denied at Chepstow, despite being keen of the back of a slow pace. That effort suggested he'd be competitive now back in a handicap. Al Joza was highly tried last term without success but this daughter of Dubawi can't be discounted; her return over 1m2f was fair as she travelled well before tiring and can improve for that outing. Pie Poudre tends to be slowly away and that more than a total lack of ability explains why he's not yet won a contest. Neither has our selection, but Our Drama Queen is taken to put that right.
