      Verdict

This looks to be a pretty strong maiden and a narrow vote is given to Fondled, Safwa and Plucky could prove to be the main rivals. James Fanshawe's filly has put in two solid efforts on good ground at Nottingham and Yarmouth. Being by Selkirk the heavy rain will be a big advantage and we may see a much improved performance. Sir Michael Stout'e runner Safwa showed plenty of promise on her Goodwood debut and should improve. However the likely soft ground could be a problem and so she cannot be backed with any confidence. The Gosden newcomer Plucky is certainly interesting on pedigree. She is a three hundred thousand guineas daughter of Kyllachy, running in the colours of the Cheveley Park stud. If the money comes for this one take note. Cape Velvet and Dragon Flower are two others to consider for the places, but if the rain contnues to pour, the more likely winner is Fondled.
