Verdict
Koptoon has won a claimer and a seller at Wolverhampton, both over 6f, and tackles this trip for the first time though he's on an 8lb lower mark than on the all-weather. Having made a successful debut on soft ground, Use Your Filbert will be suited by the forecast rain and was only narrowly beaten in this class over the trip at Newmarket. Harlequin Striker put two poor runs behind him when not far behind at Epsom while Upstaging has been staying on over a furlong shorter. LIGHTNING CHARLIE has the scope to do better and was having his first start since scoring at Kempton in October when showing good speed for a long way over 6f at Windsor last month. His pedigree suggests he'll have no problems with this trip so he gets the nod.
