Ron Harris has had plenty of winners this month and though complicating matters with a pair of entries GOWER PRINCESS is taken to see off stable companion Classic Pursuit. The latter has the more consistent form but the selection won a handicap at this level at Chepstow last month and should be good enough in a poor handicap. Triple Dream is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and has dropped to his lowest ever mark on his 114th start though he was behind the selection in that Chepstow event. Findhorn Magic was reappearing after a very long break at Nottingham in May and should be sharper this time.
Findhorn Magic 25-1 (9-3) Went left start and hung left almost throughout, off the pace in mid-division, ridden and weakened 2f out, last of 11, 12l behind Lexington Place (9-10) at Nottingham 5f hcp 0-75 (5) gd in May.
Classic Pursuit 4-1 (9-9) Slowly away, soon mid-division, ridden and headway over 1f out, chased winner inside final furlong, no impression, 2nd of 9, 3l behind Mambo Spirit (9-8) at Bath 6f hcp 0-65 (6) fm.
Fine 'n Dandy (IRE) 80-1 (9-7) Raced alone towards far side, led, gradually edged right from over 4f out, headed over 1f out, soon weakened, last of 11, 18l behind Who's Shirl (8-13) at Doncaster 7f hcp 0-75 (5) gd.
