Cape Melody, Sharpened Edge and Dubai Legend make the shortlist here with CAPE MELODY set to make up for a narrow defeat here last time. Sharpened Edge showed real promise on her debut at Newbury, finishing third albeit some distance behind the front pair. She was highly tried on her re-appearance where she was outclassed, but drops in grade here and can play a leading role. Dubai Legend ran very well in the Tattersalls' Sales Race last year, and breeding suggests she will enjoy the extra cut in the ground she gets here. Hughie Morrison landed an across the card double on Monday and he saddles Cape Melody here, who belied a huge starting price when just touched off at Pontefract, before being run out of it close home over this course and distance recently. She is taking on some unexposed types and interesting debutants from respected yards, but Cape Melody looks to be consistent and deserves to get her head in front.
