Verdict
The short list contains Golden Dixie, Malapropism and Our Fugitive, with the vote going to Malapropism. Golden Dixie and Malapropism should go well in their bids to follow up recent wins. Our preference is for the latter. Intriguing Glimpse seems better on sharper tracks. Spanish Ace has yet to win from this high a mark. Lindbergh has yet to win a handicap. Pic Up Sticks is well weighted on old form but couldn't be fancied on recent efforts. Polish Emperor won from a four-pounds higher mark over course and distance last summer and if he gets it back together would have to be fancied. The lightly raced Our Fugitive returned with a good run last time and looks set to play his part today. There is no doubt that Harrison's Flyer is on a mark from which he ought to be able to win. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Malapropism.
