Any number of horses can be given a chance in a competitive finale, with the vote given to Adantino; Trace Clip and Blue Java made it onto the short list. Even though he is three pounds above a winning mark, Adantino still looks reasonably treated, comes here on the back of a good all-weather run from a higher mark and looks set to go well. Threezedzz has a chance on old form and didn't run too badly at Chepstow two runs ago. Celtic Spa won at this track from a higher mark last summer, but victory came over a mile, while Blue Java is set to rise by three pounds following a good Chepstow run - which came on soft - so has to be afforded respect from a handicapping point of view. A repeat of Pink Bay's September Bath effort would give her claims, while Meditation and Aggravation are on winning all-weather marks. Simplify would not be out of things if getting back to his best, while Trace Clip is well handicapped based on old form, and he certainly caught the eye last time and it would not entirely surprise if Blue Line put in an improved effort today. Once again, though, the vote stays with Adantino.
