State Occasion is eased in grade after making her comeback in a Group 2 at York in May and she gave weight and a beating to Rousay at Goodwood last year. The latter won this 12 months ago but has a lot more on her plate today. Ameynah tries a new trip but a fourth at Ascot should have blown away a few cobwebs. Queen Of The Skies has placed at Beverley and Newmarket this year but she’s yet to place when stepping outside of handicap company. Caernarfon deserves a win having finished fourth in the 1000 Guineas and third in the Oaks this year but she looks a filly who doesn’t have an optimum trip. RUNNING LION finished last in the French Oaks but was eased considerably in the closing stages. She’d earlier completed a four-timer in the Pretty Polly at Newmarket and this is a more realistic target.
